Sending and receiving.

How mail moves, and what a delivery failure means.

Inbound mail is accepted on the mail server and appears in Mail over JMAP. Outbound mail is submitted through the same session.

New Free accounts have a conservative send cap for the first 24 hours. Hourly caps and a unique-recipient velocity cap apply after that. Repeated delivery failures can restrict outbound sending.

If a message cannot be delivered, the receiving server may return a failure to your mailbox. ZanonMail labels common cases such as unknown recipient, mailbox full, temporary failure, or rejection. That is not a live tracker of every hop.
