Anonymous email vs untraceable email
17 August 2026 · Zentrix Data
People use “anonymous email” to mean two different things. The first is: the provider does not require a real-world identity to open the account. The second is: nobody can tell that you sent or received a message. ZanonMail is built for the first. It does not claim the second.
What anonymous signup covers
A standard ZanonMail account is created without a name, phone number, or personal recovery email. Recovery is a one-time key. That is a decision about what we collect, not a cloak over the public internet.
What still exists
Mail still travels over TLS between servers. Other providers can see that a message came from zanonmail.com. Delivery uses IP addresses and mail headers. Lawful process, if it arrives, is answered by the operating company — Zentrix Data — with whatever records actually exist.
If you need a protocol designed to hide who is talking to whom, that is a different product category. We will not dress ordinary SMTP as that.
